ZBiotech’s Customized HA Protein Microarray Facilitates Detailed Analysis of Antibody and HA Protein Interactions

Highlights

Array:Customized Protein Array
Field:Immunology
Study:Protein Interaction

The recent study on Clade 2.3.4.4 H5 chimeric cold-adapted attenuated influenza vaccines (CAIVs) revealed a promising solution for protecting against H5Nx avian influenza viruses. These innovative vaccines induced strong humoral, mucosal, and cellular immune responses, achieving 100% survival in mice and effective cross-protection in ferrets. This marks a significant advancement in the field of immunology, providing a safer and more effective way to combat these dangerous viruses.

The Role of ZBiotech’s HA (Hemagglutinin) Protein Microarray in the Study

One of the key tools that facilitated this groundbreaking research was ZBiotech’s Custom-made HA protein microarray. This high-quality microarray allowed researchers to accurately detect cross-reactive antibodies against various H5 clades. By utilizing our protein microarrays, the study could map immune responses with exceptional precision. This highlights the versatility and sensitivity of our products, demonstrating their critical role in advanced immunological research.

ZBiotech’s customized HA protein microarray technology was used to measure the IgG antibodies in the serum from immunized mice. Serum was collected and analyzed on day 21 (one-dose group) or day 42 (two-dose group). The mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) of each HA protein was determined by deducting the background fluorescence signals. Results were expressed as MFI ± SDs and analyzed using GraphPad Prism software. A higher MFI indicates more IgG antibodies bound to an HA antigen. The study included immunized mice in both one-dose and two-dose groups, with relevant controls and markers for accuracy. The images are reproduced from Sun, W. et al.
